Clout Africa’s mission is to shine a spotlight on rising talents and artists and empower them to showcase their music effectively to audiences around the world. The Clout Africa Awards is aimed at making the brand into a cultural touchstone and a crucial antidote against a music industry that only rewards already established big names and groupthink.

To achieve the Clout Africa Awards’ mission to celebrate the talents Africa has to offer, We developed an award system across ten categories tailored to the underground scene of musicians and content creators in Africa. Clout Africa supports and encourages creatives and people who do impactful work behind the scenes.

The awards celebrate and reward the underground scene where all music stars are formed. It showcases African acts with content, curated experiences and so much more. The award unlike others that exist locally doesn't ignore people who work behind the scenes and focuses on showcases upcoming artists across the continent. Another unique sell for this project was the diversity of the performances and carefully curated categories that recognized people who work behind the scenes.

Unlike other award shows that only focus on established acts, we carefully curated the Clout Africa Awards to recognize upcoming acts and people who do impactful work behind the scenes. The virtual experience and transparent voting process which we made accessible for all the fans of our pan-African acts signals the start of a new high-profile and multi-platform era of the Clout Africa company. With the key stakeholders, We were able to engage with for The award ceremony, Clout Africa’s role as a tastemaker and a vital part of the music ecosystem in Africa is emphasized.
Nominations
TikTok influencer Moghelingz's nomination acceptance video for the creator of the year has accumulated over 1.2 million views on Tiktok.
Performances
Ghanian songbird and superstar Gyakie thrilled audiences with a stellar live performance of her hit single "Forever (Remix)" featuring Nigerian superstar Omah Lay. The video has over 100,000 views across platforms. She also took home the Revelation of the Year award.
Winners
SA's superstar Blxckie won the songwriter's award. His win was a testament to the spread and diversity of the award itself.

Touching Base Stakeholder Engagement
One of the missions of the Clout Africa Awards is to reach pan-African audiences. We selected facilitators and nominees from different nations across the African continent. The Clout Africa Awards also support Clout Africa’s mission to be recognized as a reliable brand that connects music fans, culture influencers, and artists. We engaged stakeholders like music label executives, media journalists, and music enthusiasts to feature at the Clout Africa Awards round table discussion.

Oyinkansola Fawehinmi has found success as an intellectual property lawyer and entertainment business manager, winning several awards and working with notable artists and companies.
Tomi Owo
Multifaceted artist, Tomi Owo grew up in a musically inclined household that exposed her to original compositions and diverse record collections that piqued her interest in music.
Omotolani Alake
Seasoned entertainment journalist and music business executive, Omotolani Alake has been praised for expert opinions and in-depth, behind-the-scenes knowledge of the Nigerian music scene.
